Okay so I finally got the Target flyer for next week, October 4th to 10th, and wow it’s all Halloween. Like literally every page is orange and black. I spent like 20 minutes flipping through it last night with coffee.
First thing that caught my eye was the Halloween decor. They have this little ghost in a glass dome for $5. I bought one last year and it actually lights up, pretty cute for five bucks. Also there’s a fabric bird that says RIP on it, also $5. My kid would love that.
The big skeleton though – 60 inch, like full size human – is $25. That’s actually not bad. At Spirit Halloween these are like $50. And you can pose it, like make it sit on your porch. I saw people on TikTok doing that last year. There’s also a dachshund skeleton for $15, which is hilarious if you have a weenie dog like I do. I might get that one.
Oh and tombstones, 4 pack for $15. They say funny stuff like FOR RENT and SEE YOU SOON. The green one glows? Not sure but looks cool.
Now candy – this is where Target gets you. They have BOGO 50% off on their Favorite Day candy. I always buy the ghoul grub fruit snacks, my daughter eats those like crazy. 40 pouches in one box.
But the real deals are in the Under $10, Under $6, Under $3 sections. I love that they do that now. So Under $10 you get the big variety packs, like M&M’s, Twix, Snickers minis, 60 pieces. That’s for trick-or-treaters. If you live somewhere with lots of kids, get that.
Under $6 has Reese’s pumpkins snack size. Those are so good, I eat like 5 at a time. And Nerds Gummy Clusters spooky edition. Under $3 is best though – Brach’s candy corn (I know people hate it but I love it) and Reese’s King Size with 2 pumpkins in it for under three dollars. That’s cheap. I bought 6 of those yesterday.
Pet stuff – okay this is my favorite page. They have dog costumes. A chicken costume for dogs for $12. Can you imagine? My neighbor’s pitbull wearing a chicken outfit, I would die laughing. They also have a pumpkin sweater for cats for $14.99, there’s a picture of an orange tabby wearing it and he looks so annoyed, it’s perfect.
Dog toys – $9.99 rope toy that’s shaped like a pumpkin ghost, and $13.99 candy corn plush. Dog treats are on sale too, Purina Beggin Ghoulish Ghosts for $3.49, that’s cheap for Beggin. Usually it’s like $5.
For cats, they have a haunted house scratcher for $16, it’s like a little cardboard house that looks like a haunted mansion. My cat would destroy that in one day but still cute.
Toys – LEGO Halloween sets! My son is obsessed with LEGO. The Altar of the Dead Dia De Los Muertos set is $14.99, 231 pieces. And Jack-O-Lantern pickup truck also $14.99. Those are small sets, good for like 8-9 year olds. The big one is Haunted Mansion Creator 3-in-1 for $89.99, 736 pieces, you can build 3 different haunted houses. And the huge Icons Mayor Manor for $119.99, that’s for adult collectors really.
They also have 20% off Robo Alive toys, those are the creepy moving hands and brains in jars? My kid has one and it scares me every time.
Kids books from $4.99 – Bluey Halloween, Paw Patrol, Peekaboo haunted house. I grabbed Bluey for my niece.
Snacks – okay this part is actually useful, not just Halloween. Lay’s chips 2 for $5. That’s the classic and wavy. I always buy wavy for dip. 2 bags for 5 bucks is solid, usually one bag is $4.49 now so yeah good deal.
Doritos and Lay’s Baked and PopCorners are 2 for $6. Triscuit, Wheat Thins and Ritz crackers also 2 for $6. We go through Ritz like crazy so I’ll grab those. And Pringles 3 for $6, that’s $2 a can. Normally $2.49 each so save a buck fifty.
Other grocery stuff – Frito-Lay multipack 18 count for $8.99, that’s for lunchboxes. Good & Gather frozen potstickers 2 for $10, those are actually really good, I buy them every week. RXBar protein bars BOGO 25% off.
Pillsbury pumpkin cookies BOGO 25% off too, the ones with the pumpkin shape in the middle. My kids love making those.
Favorite Day bakery cookies for $3.99, seasonal ones with sprinkles.
Oh and Chobani Flip 4 for $5, that’s $1.25 each! S’mores flavor is new I think. Usually Chobani Flip is $1.49 each so that’s good.
Oscar Mayer bacon $6.49, that’s normal price honestly, not a huge deal but okay.
Waffles – Good & Gather blueberry 10 count for $2.59, cheap breakfast.
Cheerios Protein family size 2 for $9, that’s $4.50 each. Family size is big, like 2x regular box.
Coffee – this is where it gets expensive. Good & Gather single-serve pods $7.99 each when you buy 2, 16 count. Keurig Donut Shop 24 K-Cup $12.99 each when you buy 2. Peet’s bagged coffee $9.99, that’s actually good coffee, Major Dickason’s dark roast.
And there’s this new Cloud Cafe collagen latte thing for $15.99 for 10 sachets, vanilla latte with hyaluronic acid and marine collagen? I haven’t tried it but the packaging looks fancy, says skin-boosting benefits. Might be gimmick but interesting.
Cold brew coffee 48 oz for $3.99 from Good & Gather, that’s my morning coffee, cheaper than Starbucks.
Frozen fruit strawberry banana blend 48 oz for $7.29, for smoothies.
Cheese – sliced cheese $1.69, that’s cheap! Colby Jack.
Campbell’s soup $2.49, chicken and rice homestyle, 20g protein per can. Good for quick lunch.
Mums – $8 for 6 inch fall mums, Good Little Garden brand. I bought 3 last weekend for my front porch, they last like a month.
Peanut butter – One Trick Pony 16 oz for $6.99, silky smooth peanut butter in pink packaging, cute.
Crofter’s organic fruit spread $4.49, blackberry.
Haagen-Dazs ice cream 2 for $7, and Coconut Cult probiotic yogurt 2 for $7, 4 oz cups.
So yeah overall, this week at Target is very Halloween heavy. If you need Halloween decor, go Saturday morning October 4th early because the $5 stuff sells out fast. For candy, wait until closer to Halloween maybe but Under $3 deals are good now.
For regular groceries, the snack deals are best – Lay’s 2/$5 and Pringles 3/$6.
